Kabobs​

Serves 4

Total Time Prepare to marinate overnight

 

Marinade for meats

 

Ingredients (adjust for the amount of meat)

18 ounces sirloin cut into 1-inch dice

1 cup cilantro leaves

1 cup chopped flat leaf parsley

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 jalepenos with tops chopped off

4 cloves chopped garlic

salt and pepper to taste

meat tenderizer - optional

wooden skewers

 

Directions

Combine ingredients with the meat in a resealable bag. Store overnight (4 to 12 hours) in the refrigerator. Transport in a cool container. Grill on medium heat for approximately 10 minutes or until done.

 

Tips and tricks...

~Alternate meat and vegetable/fruit to enhance taste and visual appeal

~Cut kabob pieces into similar bite size cubes

~Cook over medium heat

~Maintain space between pieces to ensure thorough cooking

~Turn the kabobs frequently - target 10 minutes (2.5 per side)

~Cut meat on each skewer to check for doneness

~Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes prior to adding meat and veggies

~Consider using 2 skewers on each row of cooked food
